Fire Station

Ethan gets dragged to Cub Scouts with Addy each week. Most of the time he does pretty well, playing in the backyard or hanging out with the group. Today we had planned to go visit a Fire Station in Gilbert, but since the Fire Fighters eat dinner at 5:00 we had to go to Cub Scouts a little early. Ethan doesn't take naps most days, but it is a must on days we have Scouts. The poor little guy was dragged out of bed and was not in the happiest of moods. Addy was worried... all she needed was a melt down from a 2-year-old at the Fire Station.

Much to her surprise, he did awesome! He was quiet, respectful, and even was listening. He didn't seem like he was, but when we got home he told Ryan all about it. How a red light and noise turns on to wake the Fire Fighters when there's a call and even how when one guy, Jake, doesn't wake up, the other Fire Fighters yell at him and pound on his door. It was fun to hear him share what he had seen. Addy is pretty sure that he was paying more attention than some of the Cub Scouts. Go Ethan!

I LOVE Fireman. You are so lucky you got to go visit a fire station. I think I could go 3 days without sleep and still be very attentive to a fireman. OOH LA LA!!!

Sounds like Ethan is growing up fast! It's amazing how you think they are not listening or paying attention and then they can rattle back all the info! Good for him!
