Funny kid...

Lately we have been quite amused with Ethan. We thought that we would share some of the funny things he has been doing.

1. Addy has an older brother, Troy, who amuses/scares kids by saying 'Mwahaha' in a booming voice. The first time Troy did this to Ethan he was so scared, but Troy left an impact that ended up being positive. Ethan now does a little 'wahaha' and the says 't-oy'. He also has learned a few other family members names - Amy = 'May-me', Alyssa = 'Sa' followed by a shhs and pointed finger, Zac = 'Zaa'.

2. Wet willies are gross, but oh so funny when you're giving and not receiving. Addy taught Ethan how to give wet willies. He hasn't perfected yet though. He licks his finger and then sticks it in his own ear... a little more work.

3. With learning how to give wet willies, Ethan has discovered that he can stick both fingers in both ears and not hear anything. Sometimes we will catch him with his fingers in his ears and then close his eyes. Hear no evil, see no evil...

4. As we are preparing for our trip to Disneyland, we made a countdown chain and show Ethan videos of rides on YouTube. He is amazingly understanding it. If you ask him if he is going, he will clap. If you ask him about Mickey Mouse, he will say 'hot da' (Hot Dog - a song on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse).

5. Addy is a bit obsessive compulsive and always makes sure that Ethan is looking his best. With the cooler weather, Ethan gets boogers frequently. One day when we were getting out of the car, Addy did a check. As she was brushing the boogers off the end of his nose, he reached up and did the same for mom. Gotta love a kid who pays attention to detail.

6. Troy and Crystal welcomed a new baby girl into their family in December. Since Ethan met his new little cousin, he has been obsessed with babies. He loves to point out babies he sees and say 'ba-be'... too cute! He also loves to push around his cousin AnaLyn's play stroller. We decided to get him his own, even if it is pink and purple.

7. Ethan is a very observant kid and lately he has been more interested in letters and numbers. He picks up numbers from a puzzle and says 'two' or 'aight'. When you ask him what number it is, sometimes he will say a number but you may also hear 'X', 'R', 'H', or 'O'. He is also trying to use his fingers - so far he mostly shows you number 4.

8. We taught Ethan how to give high-five when he was about 10 months old. Ryan recently taught him how to give knuckles. One day we were at the park and there were two other little boys Ethan's age. One knew how to do nogin, so we thought it would be fun to teach Ethan. Now Ethan will give you high-five, knuckles, nogin and then 'Duu".

9. Lastly, Ethan loves Elmo! Recently he has discovered a DVD that Addy used in her classroom, Elmocize. He is obsessed - he gets the DVD and says 'cize, cize'.

Who ever knew that having a kid would be sooo much fun.

Love him!
I gotta say I've watched/listened to my share of Elmocize. But the song with with wheelchair number is so annoying!
